CONTROLLER HOOKUP SCHEMATIC
THREE STAGE BATTERY CHARGE CONTROLLER FOR 100 WATT SOLAR PANELS
Suitable for all 12 volt lead acid batteries: Flooded, Gel and AGM
Stage One. BULK Stage.
Stage Two. ACCEPTANCE Stage.
Supplies the current necessary to keep the battery at 14.5 volts. this current
will gradualy decrease to a few amperes, at which point the battery is fully
charged.
Stage Three. FLOAT Stage.
The charge will allow the battery to drop to 13.5 volts and supply only enough
current battery to drop to 13.5 volts and supply only enough current to maintain
at this voltage. This is the maintenance level.
The 014 unit is contained in a potted waterproof enclosure. It can control the
output of two 100 watt solar panels.
MODEL 014 - LEDs indicate charging or maintenance states.
MODEL014A - A remote AMP meter displays the charge current and aids in
positioning the solar panel.
Connecting the MAINT> terminal to the B terminal will hold the charger in the
MAINTENANCE state. The abttery can be kept at full charge for long periods of
time without the danger of overcharging.
Specify battery type.

The 014 controller is contained in a 2" x 4" x 1" potted waterproof enclosure
and can control the output of two 100 watt panels.
NOTE: This charge controller uses pulse width modulation circuitry. The FET
output transistor dissipates very little heat.
